Prints

Lotus

I was an in-house design apprentice under Lokka Lekkr. I was given the opportunity to explore one of the traditional ways of printing which is through Lino Cut. It was quite a new experience for me as there were quite a number of steps I had to take in order to create the perfect print. Materials, the paper type, and as well as the way the stamp is being pressed on could be some of the few things that'll affect the quality of the print.

Ailurophobia

As I was given ample opportunity to test out this method of printing, I decided to challenge myself and did another set of prints. I did a graphic of how a person who lives with Ailurophobia would view cats. I made it look surreal by adding extra eyes and as well making its fur slimy, making it look almost monster-like. This was rather challenging in comparison to the one before as the lino sheet was thicker and harder. It was challenging especially when it came to the thicker lines due to the material.
